Education for Ecuador will encourage children in selected schools to communicate with the Project communities and, where possible, to support those communities in constructive and mutually helpful ways.
As the children in Guamote have to learn English as a third language, we cannot overwhelm them with letters to answer. So EfE will engage with interested schools to arrange appropriate correspondence, including pictures and photos.
Also, interested schools are encouraged to raise money for their Andean peers. For example: a fundraising day organised by the school children; or a Cents for Inti Sisa day, where they collect five and ten cent pieces. Five cents does not buy much here, but in Ecuador, it has a lot more purchasing power.
